Madeira is one of Europe’s most beautiful sporting locations and the perfect year-round golf destination.

Arguably one of Portugal’s most-beautiful golfing venues, the Palheiro Golf Estate is an 18-hole 72 par course sitting high in the eastern hills above the island’s capital city Funchal.

Designed by renown US designer Cabell B. Robinson, the course meanders through pristine maritime pines and botanical, sub-tropical vegetation, overlooking Madeira’s stunning south-coast with the deep-blue Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop.

The Porto Santo Golfe course is on Madeira’s smaller neighbouring island. The course was designed by Seve Ballesteros, with an even split of par 3, par 4, and par 5 holes, and well-place bunkers for anyone playing from the tee.

Each hole is unique, designed with Seve’s great care and knowledge of the game. Holes 13, 14, and 15 form the infamous Amen Corner, requiring challenging levels of precision – compensated by a stunning view across the island when you fly a green.
